2010 prius

Normally with an automatic car when going uphill and you stop the car will brake and stop itself, my prius does not , is this normal for this car?

Well the Prius doesn't have an automatic transmission. It uses a continuously variable (CVT) transmission. So it doesn't behave exactly like "other" cars. Tell me this, when you come to a stop and let your foot off the brake does it hold the car or does it roll backward?
